Antifreeze - Batteries - Oil - Paint

City of Carpinteria residents can dispose of the following items free of charge at City Hall.

WHEN: The second and fourth Saturday of every month (November and December ABOP only runs the first Saturday of the month), 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

WHAT WE ACCEPT:Antifreeze*, batteries, oil*, used oil filters, latex and oil based paints*, small household electronics (mx 3 per household), mercury based thermostats and compact florescent light bulbs. For a complete list of paints we accept, please visit paintcare.org.

* 5 gallon per visit liquid maximum

In addition, used oil and oil filters can be brought to the same City Hall location, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

ANNUAL HOUSEHOLD GOODS AND HAZARDOUS WASTE DAY
Second Saturday in April from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Bring all of your old cleaning supplies, pesticides and other household chemicals, along with the regularly accepted ABOP materials. Improperly disposing of these chemicals is harmful to our environment. Help keep our City clean!
