Comments shall be limited to 15 minutes, divided among those persons desiring to speak, but no person shall speak longer than five minutes. Hearing on the request of Rita Bright, agent for The Land Trust for Santa Barbara County to consider Case No. 13-1660-CUP/CDP for final review of a request to reestablish and construct a 0.66 mile section of the historic Franklin Trail. The entire trail is a 7-mile multi-use trail beginning in the City of Carpinteria and terminating in Los Padres National Forest at the junction with the East Camino Cielo Trail. The trail begins at Franklin Creek Park, follows the Franklin Creek bike path to Foothill Road and then follows the southern, western and northern perimeters of Carpinteria High School before continuing on into unincorporated Santa Barbara County.
Hearing on the request of John Godkin, agent for Gail and Rocky Marshall to consider Case No. 13-1662-CUP/CDP for preliminary review of a request replace an existing legal nonconforming single car carport with a new one-car garage in the same location/footprint. As part of the project, new decorative trellises are proposed along the front of the residence. The property is a 7,000 square foot parcel zoned Single Family Residential (6-R-1) and shown as APN 003-381-010 located at 5559 Canalino Drive.
Hearing on the request of Robin Donaldson, AIA, agent for Carpinteria Business Park Investors, LLC to consider Case No. 13-1664-CON for conceptual review of a request to redesign the Lagunitas office park building approved by the City Council in September 2008. The size of the building would increase approximately 250 square feet, now totaling 84,550 square feet and three additional parking spaces would be provided, increasing the total number to 343 spaces. The maximum height of the structure remains as approved at 27.5 feet. The 8.63-acre site is zoned Industrial Research Park (M-RP) and shown as APN 001-190-097 located at 6380 Via Real.
